The drivers and conductors are motivated. The management of the SNCF said it had identified 36.8% Wednesday morning drivers on strike, 38.7% of controllers but 8.82% of strikers on the entire staff of the company at the beginning of a strike extendable to the call of the CGT and Sud-Rail.

The strike notice CGT only covered drivers, controllers and cargo agents. The South-Rail covered the entire staff.
"Not quite significant"
The human resources director of SNCF, Francis Nogué, said at a press conference that the overall figure of 8.82% and was "not completely meaningful.
For comparison, February 3, at the first national strike of the year for SNCF management had counted 28.4% of strikers among all staff, the CGT 35.65%, whereas today then the four main unions had called the company to stop work.
On March 23, interprofessional action day, there were 28.3% of strikers by management, 32.45% according to the CGT, with notice of the same four unions.
